McCain Weaseling
We haven’t even had the election yet and McCain is trying to get out of doing his job. Right now, that means giving voters a close-up look at the kind of person he is. McCain is claiming he is going to cease campaigning, postpone the debate, and head to Washington, DC to help fix the problem. A concept he doesn’t fully grasp.
Here’s the problem: McCain’s deregulation push allowed banks to privatize investments. Without government oversight Republicans ran wild with my money, your money, and their investor’s money. Republicans casually threw around billions of dollars with no plan, and now they are proposing to use $700,000,000,000 (that’s BILLION) of taxpayer money to bailout the very system they rabidly created.
My 401k has lost 12% this year. If things continue they way they are with free-wheeling Republicans spending my money on wars, coke and prostitutes then the only thing that will be certain is I won’t have a penny for retirement in 2035.
Bill Clinton outlined our economic situation last night on The Daily Show:
Bill Clinton explores this election more fully, endorses Barack Obama and outlines Obama’s keys to victory:
We need independent and undecided voters to rally to the President who will work for you, not for Republican special interests. We need to get everyone we know to vote for Barack Obama. There’s no doubt that McCain is not the answer. McCain will only bring more troubles to the middle-class, period. You just can’t trust a guy who doesn’t know how many houses he owns and thinks middle class Americans make just under $5 million a year.
