What needs to happen next?

1. Barak Obama… he’s hot. [I want to be the first to coin the phrase barak-obamination, before the neocons do... --E]
2. Campaign finance reform
3. Healthcare reform [Did you see the drug company stock drop today, and the rest of the stock market make up the difference (Nov 8, 2006) --E]
4. Iraq investigations and oversight
5. Minimum wage increase
6. Election reform
7. Energy policy reform
8. Tax reform
9. Eightandfive funding

In my opinion, priority-wise, here are the issues we need to address in the next cycle-
some are the same… I realize this, just in a different order on the list.

We need to think/write about:

1. Education financing- both K-12 and higher ed
2. Min. wage increase, cause its a sick, twisted, perverted, imploding-bomb-waiting-to-go-off situation {[minimum wage increases are a really regressive way to help poor people, you end up helping a lot of teenagers make more spending money, and only help a percentage of the poor. All while you screw with the free market possibly making people loose their jobs, and be in an even worse situation, increasing the Earned Income Rebate would be a much better way to redistribute wealth (especially if you raise taxes on rich people to pay for it... and I thought the dems were for progressive taxes --E] That previous bit in the brackets is not true–O}
3. Health care for everyone… even the poor [single payer or government run, I doubt either will happen --E](Let me hear that dirty word…Socialism!)
4. Making friends and not enemies of our neighbors in the world
5. Ending the purchasing of our electors
6. Getting the hell out of a war and into diplomacy with a country that we f#%@ed up!
7. Tax breaks for the energy conservationists and not the oil companies [and make people pay taxes for environmental damage --E]
8. Taxing the leisure class instead of the working class
9. The world of people who love to love inanimate objects

For me, it’s simple. Being Czech, I love Europe…

1. Mandatory four weeks of vacation
2. Track down all Republican voters and show them what it means to be waterboarded.

For me it is even simpler, I don’t like Bush, and I want to see his legacy really really tarnished.

1. Democrat special prosecutor with subpoena power! We may have lost habeas corpus, but lets make sure the magna carta stays intact!

1. I would like to see the Dems grow a pair. They impeached Clinton over Monica and the now the Dems are saying they won’t pursue anything against Bush? You can see how Republicans got in power in the first place against these spineless jellyfish.

2. Once we get out of Iraq we need to fix this country. This will cost lots of money. Seriously we could cut military in half and still have the strongest military in the world. This may leave leave many soldiers with nothing to do. We could turn thousands of soldiers into a civil engineering force. (just my thoughts on what i would do if I were president)

{I really like that last idea!–Alternatively I could see it being a civil engineering force that went outside of our country as well–sort of like a peace corps that was worth something. A great way to make friends would be to build up their infrastructure. –O}
