umm.... isn't it Mark Foley, not Tom Foley? Tom Foley was a democrat, from washington state, who hasn't been in congress for a few years now.

from the original message:

"...Congress has no authority over private citizens so now Tom Foley cannot be prosecuted."

Wasn't the Vietnam War started by a Democrat? It was Kennedy who sent the first troops into Vietnam. While I love this post, and I love the fact that it is so true, I still know that not all wars were started by Repbulicans since WWII either.

Two words: Terri Schiavo

What a disgrace, to turn her personal tragedy into a national political circus and media event.

The post-mortum also proved that she had catastrophic brain damage.

Rick Santorum is about to get spanked over this in PA. Who else was at her bedside?

Well, the list starts out badly. If you read the New York Times this week they are all upset about the public availability of documents from Saddam's nuclear weapons program. Yeah, they found a really left handed way of acknowledging Saddam was working on an atomic bomb and was less than a year away from having the bomb.

When you've lost the New York Times, you have lost.

Sorry, buddy, you didn't read the article closely enough. The point of the article was that Saddam stopped his nuclear program when he was asked to by the UN. And that any justification for going into Iraq for nukes was fabricated.

Ha! With a quick read I can already find two obvious falsehoods. One is that all wars since WWII were starte by republican presidents. Lordy. The other is that we still have to pay our bills when we file bankruptcy. Who is the joker who put together this list? Don't they understand that when you attack something by using lies then you are the one who is the ass.

Still, isn't the argument a little disingenuous? After all Vietnam is probably the most significant war since WW2 and while it may have started during a Republican presidency it was heavily escalated during JFK, LBJ and RMN (who eventually pulled the US out).

Also, all this is really saying is that Clinton and Carter did not start a war. JFK and LBJ didn't have the option since they were so entrenched in Vietnam.

So while this argument is true I have to ask what it accomplishes. To the uninformed it suggests that the Democratic presidents were uninvolved or opposed to the war in Vietnam. And those who are informed understand the meaninglessness of the statement.

Well, 18 things. Truman sent the troups into Korea but wouldn't let them fight over the 38th parallel. Also, some might argue Johnson started 'nam but thats not really true, it was Eisenhower, really.
Even so, its' republicans who wanted this war so bad they found a guy to let them have it.

If you had taken time to follow the link, you would have found the citation from a Rolling Stone article with a more specific accusation of Republicans:

"Every GOP administration since 1952 has let the Military-Industrial Complex loot the Treasury and plunge the nation into debt on the excuse of a wartime economic emergency."

Which is true...and I probably should have used the word "escalated" or something like instead of "started" but in the end, I think the readers get the point.

Now shut up, and STAY ON TARGET!!!

The struggle for Viet Nam began with the Eisenhower administration. It was part and parcel of the John Foster Dulles' policies having to do with the "Red Menace. Military aid and and boots on the ground began with Eisenhower. While you are checking that out (you are checking, aren't you?), look into the 1954 Allen Dulles/CIA operation to overturn the democratically elected but scary Iranian government. Start with Kermit Roosevelt.

I had no idea that Harry Truman (Korean War) and John Kennedy (Vietnam) were republicans.

I have been mulling this bit around for the last several months. I came across a book, noted below, that I purchased in a bookstore in the Ginza, Tokyo in 1968. I was just back from a short duty in Viet Nam. I had thought that LBJ and General Dynamics fit this image but it seem that it is as appropriate today as then.

Daniel Defoe writes of his three days in the pillory, available for public abuse but instead had flowers thrown at him and was well tended by his supporters who sold copies of this pamphlet A Hymn to the Pillory" and his other work that was cause for the punishment, "The Shortest Way with Dissenters".

The excerpt-

“They that in, vast Employments, rob the State,
See them in thy Embraces meet their Fate;	310
Let not the Millions they by Fraud obtain,
Protect 'em from the Scandal, or the Pain:
They who from Mean Beginnings grow
To vast Estates, but God knows how;
Who carry untold Sums away,	315
From little Places, with but little Pay:
Who costly Palates Erect,
The Thieves that buds them to Protect;
The Gardens, Grottos, Fountains, Walks, and Groves
Where Vice Triumphs in Pride, and Lawless Loves:
Where mighty Luxury and Drunk'ness Reign'd
Profusely Spend what they Prophanely Gain'd
Tell 'em there's Mene Tekel’s * on the Wall,
Tell 'em the Nations Money paid for all:
Advance by double Front and show,	325
And let us both the Crimes and Persons know:
Place them aloft upon thy Throne,
Who slight the Nations Business for their own;
Neglect their Posts, in spight of Double Pay,
And turn us all in Debt the Shortest Way.	330”

Note

*This is the passage from Daniel regarding the hand Writing on the wall
Daniel 5:25-28

5:25 And this [is] the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
5:26 This [is] the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Being from Australia and watching all this unfold, I cannot help but think... if the entire world's population is to vote in your mid-term elections, I have little doubt that the Democrats will win be a landslide. The terrible state of our world today is your administration's blame to keep.

Comical... Typical rant. If there were no WMD's, why did Hussein kick out inspectors and not allow them back into Iraq?
Rich Thugs to lie for Kerry??? What's your definition of rich? And just how poor is Dan Rather if you get my drift.

Hmmm, it's been determined that Al Qaeda numerous other anti-west terrorist (abu Nidal for one) were given hombrage in Iraq. Nuff said on that.
And just how are Republicans sending jobs overseas? They're not. The exodus started in the late 80's and went full steam in the nineties when liberals decided to raise corporate taxes and it also began taking longer and longer to get building permits. And since when should the government get involved telling companies how to run their business'? Why do you think business' are leaving for starters?

Truman sent troops to Korea, Kennedy sent troops (oops, advisors) to Vietnam where Johnson just plain dropped the ball. Bongo, quick interlude to give you some advice. If you're going to use Rolling Stone as your reference material, my dear adversary, you are in serious trouble or denial.
Ah, the Foley deal. I guess we conveniently forgot about Representatives Frank (D,MA) and Studds (D,NH). Franks male lover runs a gay whore house out of Franks apartment, Studds got a male page drunk and seduced him when he was 17, but by the time the house (Tip O'Neill at the gavel) censored him, the page was 18 and case dropped. And since when can't the authorities charge a private citizen. What an idiotic statement. What you're saying is a member of Congress can murder someone, resign from Congress and face no charges??? What utter bilge. The authorities in Florida are examining this case to see if there IS evidence to prosecute.
Oh, and can anyone answer why France get's 80% of it's power from nuclear plants as does much of the developed world, yet we're at 20% (yeah, coal, LNG and propane make up the majority of the rest, not wind, geothermal, or hydro). Right now there are 30 chemical plants being built worldwide. Zero in the U.S. Hey Bongo, did you know we import gasoline, yes, GASOLINE (that's refined oil in case you're unsure) from France because went haven't built a refinery in this country since 1982. Which of course leads to blaming Republicans for the price of fuel. How patently stupid. Oil is a worldwide traded commodity, which means supply and demand sets the price, not W as some of you would like to believe. Maybe, Bongo, if you boned up on why we won't allow oil companies to exploratory drill in ANWR, you could give us an opinion on that rather than the typical blame W rant.

Have a great day... And yes, I'm voting Tuesday...

But I don't hate Republicans, just the neo-con thugs that have hijacked the Republican party.

Get rid of your neo-con thugs so the Donkeys and Elephants can play nice again.

I have just read the post that you have here today. I am sure that you are otherwise both pleasant chaps to have a drink with, if you are of age, but your post . . . , Gott in Himel, when was the last time your read something of substance and you have to that substance fuel drivel you get from Rush.

I am thinking that first round of pardons will commence around 5:30am on Wednesday morning and the resignations should peak right around Yuletide. Indictments will be in the works by Epiphany.

Wow. I can't believe there are still people out there who believe the things that ob_one is saying, that there were WMDs, or any of the rest. Soemone needs to pick up a newspaper, and it isn't the author.

Reblogged at my political site. Well done, excellent list. I know I'll definitely keep it in mind when I cast my ballot. Things like this make me feel all that much better about my decisions.

All right, let’s have a bit of fun.

Point one. Hussein had every right to kick the inspectors out, look at the guy, what makes you think he’d let inspections continue. Strange thing is the documents in today’s news confirm that when the UN told him to stop the nuclear program, he did. Why do you continue to hold on to the hope that there were WMDs?

Uhh, yes, they were rich and they were thugs. What the Swift Boat Vets for Truth did is textbook thuggery. Dan Rather? C’mon, man. You can do better than that.

“It’s been determined?” By who? This administration? Yet another straw-man argument.

Did you even visit the link he provided as evidence to back up his point? It clearly states that U.S. Tax Code, written by Republicans, gives privileges to those that offshore rather than keeping jobs here at home. Oh, and as soon as our government stops telling me what I can do in the bedroom, who we can marry and what women can do with their bodies, it can stop telling business what to do. Businesses are leaving because Republican-written policies reward it.

Korea, that one isn’t so easy to defend. Granted the Korean war was more about defense and not offense. After all we never went above the 38th parallel.

Vietnam’s roots start well before Kennedy I am sorry to say. Eisenhower sent advisers before Kennedy, in fact the first American deaths occurred in the Eisenhower administration. So, while Kennedy and LBJ escalated, Eisenhower started the wheels turning. And while selected historians say it was actually Truman who first sent advisors, these people were non-governmental operatives. I guess you could call them mercenaries.

You guys are so quick to bring up Studds, but you forget about Rep. Dan Crane. Why do you guys always forget that? Do you know who Dan Crane is? Anyway, at least Studds faced the music and didn’t run and hide in “rehab”. Studds faced the House while he was censured and then went and faced his constituents, who voted to reelect him. He admitted his mistake, moved on and was reelected. The people spoke. Foley ran and hid. And, Congress has no power over you, me or Foley now. He can’t be censured by his peers.

The US stopped building nuclear power plants after Three Mile Island. Good thing, too, because Chernobyl taught the world a nasty lesson of what happens when things go bad at nuclear plants. There have been at least 11 near misses in the US since Three Mile Island. And we still don’t know what to do with the waste. And why should I care about France. You, I am sure, certainly don’t.

As for refieneries, why do we need to build more? If this Congress would raise fueld standards there wouldn’t bee a need to build any more. We can cut consumption down. Don’t you remember when Bush said we were “addicted to oil”? Usually that implies a negative. Cut consumption and price won’t matter. And we will be able to cut our dependency on foreign oil. But there are always the pesky oil company lobbyists aren’t there?

And when a company makes a $10.49 billion in a single quarter, while Americans are being squeezed at the pump, there is something completely wrong. That figure is so amazing that I believe it is hard for normal people to comprehend so it doesn’t even register.

And there is no reason to drill in ANWAR and try a easy solution to energy consumption in this country. We have the ability to build more fuel economy into our cash economy and it would create jobs. What is wrong with that?

Oh, and good luck voting on Tuesday if you live in a poor community, you'll be standing in line most of the night and there is a good chance your name has been "purged" from the voting lists.

Oh, and if I could add a 20th point to round it off...

The Republicans want you to forget that deficits do indeed matter, especially when China has $1 trillion in reserves, much of it in American debt.

It is all true...during the Kennedy/Johnson administrations, and during the Clinton/Gore years...there were no wars...started...by us...sort of...The NV started Vietnam against the French. Bosnia started it against Hersagovina (spelling sux)...Milosovich started it against his own people.

It is obvious the Republicans are letting jobs get offshored to China...because of the fine trade agreement with them...supported by some kickbacks by Chinese intrests to the party in charge...in when was it...1996? Yup W did that too...

The biggest fault of the Republicans is their hypocrisy. They are so blind to their own faults that they don't see in themselves what they see in Democrats and anyone else who disagrees with them.

Do they really think that Ted Haggard only paid for a massage? Would they forgive anyone else accused of the something similar (e.g. Bill Clinton)?

I didn't think so.

Fuck the Republicans. Fuck them all.

In the words of John McLaughlin...

WRONG!

Exxon Mobile gave $935,016 to Republican candidates during the 2004 election cycle in order to get those crooks to gut the energy bill. What was in that energy bill? Higher fuel economy standards, what did those Republicans who got money from Exxon Mobile do to the fuel economy standards. You can probably guess.

Also, I suggest you look up a Wall Street Journal article entitled: "As Gasoline Prices Soar, Americans Resist Major Cuts in Consumption" from the May 1, 2006 issue. There is a candid interview with an Exxon Mobile executive in it.

I don't think the American "Empire" will fall. I do believe that there are people in America who think it is an empire, but there are plenty who think otherwise.

The number one thing Americans need to do is restore system of checks and balances by getting another party in power in one of the branches of government, thus, forcing cooperation instead of exclusion and bullying.

I generally like to say "Fuck the Neo-Cons", but really, the Republicans have allowed their party to be run by the Neo-Cons for the past decade or so.

I am hoping they wake up soon.

The closest this website has ever come to endorsing a candidate from a political party was when Oscar wrote an article declaring an Independent the winner in a debate:

http://eightandfive.com/2006/10/30/winner-robert-fitzgerald/

But maybe I will make a list of things Democrats want you to forget just for the hell of it.

I will publish it on November 8th, 2006.

You forgot to list all the corporate pandering that has been done. You forgot to list all the pro-corporate/anti-consumer laws thats have been passed (gambling, bankruptcy) that cater to big business and gives kickbacks to all the top bush buddies. You did not mention the faked death of ken lay, bush's long term friend that died mysteriously and was "cremated" within hours. You forgot to mention jacked up gas prices and the war profiteering in iraq for cheney and the bird flu scare to boost rumsfields flu stock. This list barely scratches the surface.

Rupublicans have had control of congress and the whitehouse for a very long time. If they wanted to change any of this they chould have. They've never had a better chance and it will be a long time before they will again. It's just like abortion. They like to talk about this stuff to get people to vote for them, but they'll never deliver on their promises because then they won't have that excuse to get people to vote for them in the future.

"Republicans want you to forget that sending jobs overseas takes jobs away from working Americans."
Are we protectionist? should we close our borders? Democrats are against the right of Indians and Chinease to make a $ and raise thier standard of living?

"Republicans want you to forget that they don’t want Social Security to exist at all, instead, you get whatever money you have managed to save when you retire."
You can argu against the solution they offered, but this is hardly it. by most statistical mesurments, you will have more money.

"Republicans want you to forget that fuel costs have doubled since 2000, but your income has not."
If it goes up, they are evil, when it goes down, they are also evil. if no matter what the facts are it is an argument against them, then it is an invalid one. Also, again, what is the problem? Democrats want low prices or green energy? can they decide already?

Republicans want you to forget that even though you are not making record profits, oil companies are.
D&J and S"&P are doing very well. Energy sector is a small % of that, so this statment is false.

your confusion has been recently made clear to me czech. i meant that trumans orders were only to retake south korea. mcarthur made the unilateral decision to disobey the president's orders and invade north korea. hence the disgraceful end to his career.

Quote: "Are we protectionist? should we close our borders? Democrats are against the right of Indians and Chinease to make a $ and raise thier standard of living?"

My Reply: I never claimed to be a Democrat nor to be writing for Democrats. Republicans have had six years of complete power in all three branches of government - and they blew it.

Quote: "You can argu against the solution they offered, but this is hardly it. by most statistical mesurments, you will have more money."

My reply: Just because the economy tends to expand over time does not mean we should shit-can Social Security. Got a 401K? Try doing a 401K calculator. The note the asterisk that says, "Based on 8% per year return". Guess how many 401ks return 8%? Zero.

Quote: "If it goes up, they are evil, when it goes down, they are also evil. if no matter what the facts are it is an argument against them, then it is an invalid one. Also, again, what is the problem? Democrats want low prices or green energy? can they decide already?"

My Reply: I agree with your invalid argument. When in doubt, Republicans ARE evil.

I never said Democrats had all the answers and I never claimed to be a Democrat - then only sure thing is Republicans have blown it.

Quote: "D&J and S”&P are doing very well. Energy sector is a small % of that, so this statment is false."

My reply: This response has nothing to do with the original post.

From StarTribune.com letters:

Longtime Republican says Bush is running the country into the ground

I have been a middle-of-the-road Republican most of my life. I have a simple conservative belief: conserve what is good; change what is bad.

My Republican Party was taken over in 2001 by a group seeking above all power: George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Ken Rove and later Donald Rumsfeld. Their quest for power has only been exceeded by their incompetence. What has struck me was the way the rest of the Republican Party kowtowed to the bullying tactics of these men and let our country fall into the pitiable state it is now in.

In my mind Bush had decided to go to war with Iraq even before he was in office. I hope now everyone knows there were no weapons of mass destruction or terrorists in Iraq before the war. After the war ("mission accomplished") Iraq was a breeding ground for terrorists and suddenly there was a brand-new guerrilla war. With his usual incompetence Bush had disbanded the Iraqi army, the one built-in peacekeeping force in Iraq.

Now, Bush is faced with a real nuclear danger in North Korea and Iran, but because of Iraq, he is helpless to do anything about it.

I lament over our 2,700 brave service men and women killed in Iraq and the 20,000 wounded. And who knows how many hundred thousands of innocent Iraqis have been killed

Could anyone not be critical of Bush's noncaring incompetence? Members of the Republican Party must speak out. They call it Bush-bashing. Well, he should be bashed.

The Republican Party used to be known as the party of fiscal responsibility, but Bush and company have changed that, running up debts in the trillions. It seems almost ludicrous that he has slashed taxes for the rich.

They call it free trade and Bush has let other countries wipe the floor with Americans and American rights. Jobs are outsourced, families destroyed in the name of free trade and globalization. The labor movement has lost its clout, because if a strike is threatened the corporations may gleefully outsource their jobs. The middle class is heading for destruction. It used to be Americans first. Now it's "let 'em eat cake."

The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has been so incompetently handled it brings tears to your eyes. After World War II the Marshall Plan rebuilt Europe, but today New Orleans is still a mess.

Bush condones torture in this country. Imagine: The United States of America allowing torture! After the Bataan death march in World War II we still wouldn't even consider torture. The Japanese POWs couldn't believe that they were being treated so well.

Prisoners are held without being charged and without access to a lawyer. The Nazis at Nuremburg, the worst criminals in the history of the world, were given lawyers and a fair trial.

And what might end up the most serious charge against Bush is the global warming he has neglected and largely ridiculed. We don't know yet what this will do to mankind and our planet.

Ever since I was a young man in Fargo, I have had a warm spot in my heart for the Republican Party. GOP: Grand Old Party. The party of Abraham Lincoln. It was a party of responsibility, something you could count on. I fondly remember a picture of my uncle Milton Rue (who was head of North Dakota's Republican Party in the 1950s) riding in a car with President Dwight Eisenhower. They were laughing and talking, obviously friends. They are no doubt turning over in their graves at the fumblings of Bush.

At that time, I was a jet fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force, fiercely patriotic (still am) and proud of my country. But I can't be proud of this man who is running our country into the ground.

I could go on and on about Bush and his pathetic crew, but now I can only hope that the November election stops him.

The only reason why people hate bush so much is because they can't understand how a hick could become president and not one of there own gems of perfection like gore or kerry. One day you might realize you are not so perfect and are actually quite stupid. Until then you'll spout your nonsense crap.

Then only reason you hate me is because you know I am correct.

In the above post I never said I hated Republicans and I never said to "Vote Democrat". I do hate neo-cons. All of them. Since you self-registered as a "HickRetard" I doubt you know what a neo-con is.

Vote your conscience.

If that means you need to vote Republican, so be it. But make sure you submit a correct mailing address for your welfare check.

You'll need it if the neo-con thugs win again.

You know, as a Canadian I can fairly say I have somewhat as a bias in this. Personally, I hate what has happened to the Republican Party (Regime?). However, the States loss means that our country does a little better in comparison. Not a whole lot, as our economies are tied quite closely, but a little. Our dollar has gotten itself out of its pitiful slump, mostly thanks to the american government.

That said, it's amazing how ignorant people can be. There are two sides to EVERY story, and looking at what has been happening, the "ignorant american" title so heard outside your borders has never been so obvious and true. How can this party stay in power?

I'm not saying vote R, I'm not saying vote D. Way up north our system works a little differently, we have a party called the "Liberals" which is in the middle ground. Not left winged, not right winged, it should be in the middle (doesn't always work that way, thats the idea). Maybe it's time America tried something of the same?

I mean, how FREE are you when you only have the choice of two?

If the neo-con thugs steal another election, you may have an immigration problem as disenfranchised voters migrate to Canada.

Either that or we'll just move to one of the tent cities that form up in Wal-Mart's parking lots. After poor folks suddenly stop buying stuff because they don't have anymore nickels left...they'll have to live somewhere.

The Repug's do not want you to remember Katrina, unless your a white supremicist in which case they have probably already sent you a flyer about it.

They want you to remember that they are the party of personal responsibility but corporations and politicians should only be responsible to the stock market. They also want you to forget that even if they are not George W. they have protected him from any investigation or oversight. They also want you to forget that a vote for a Dem is a vote for investigations to commence that should have started 5 years ago in some cases. If you do not believe in freedom or accountability vote Repug so we can have more rights taken away for the citizens and not have to fear any investigation that may make Fox news look like liars.

We just need actual responsible Republicans to take back the Republican party from the neo-conservative bastards.

The damage to the Republican party is deep and probably lasting.

It will take a political ass-whooping to set them straight.

Here's to hoping for a sweep from power and a much-needed changing of the guard!

I agree I miss looking at Repug's as people that are patriotic but have a different approach to helping this country than the Dem's. It was not long ago that I had no beef with Repug's even though I did not agree with what they thought were good policies we still lived and died TOGETHER in my opinion. I no longer feel that way, now if someone tells me they are a Repug I walk away and never speak to them again. I no longer have any sense of humour about it. After Katrina I stopped telling myself they were misled by talk radio and Fox News and began to see them as Collaborators to this criminal administration. I hate what has happened to this country. Five years ago Repug or Dem I did not care although I voted Dem I looked at it as a disagreement of how to approach a common goal, now I see them as traitors to our nation and its founding ideas. I want to be able to shake a Repug's hand again without wanting to spit in their face for supporting a facist regieme. I want to be able to trust my fellow citizens again to not take my rights because 1)they dont agree 2) it doesnt affect them. "If your neighbors house is on fire then yours is not safe either." Please Republicans everywhere, please vote for people that will give us our rights back and investigate all the questionable things that have been done in the last 5 years. Whether a Dem or an Independant or just not voting at all. We only need one good election for the investigations to take place and if the Neo-cons did nothing wrong fine I just want someone to please god check after that vote Republican all you want. If not I will make sure to not cross the street to piss on a Repug if they were on fire. I feel I have more in common now with citizens all over this world than I do with the other side in MY OWN COUNTRY what the fuck has happened!

I do agree with some points.

I do want to be able to shake a Republican's hand without feeling like they are selling out to the fringe sector of their party.

But I do have Republicans in my family so I do have hope for them, and for America.

I used to wonder WTF has happened to America but I think it is obvious: those who have money influence the outcome of elections.

They passed laws to limit campaign finance...but both political parties just moved their unlimited funding into 527s.

That is also why they skewered Howard Dean and his money-making internet machine. It wasn't supposed to be possible to raise $15 MILLION dollars without kow-towing to corporate thugs, but he did it. They smoked his ass for it and turned him into a good little soldier working as the head of the Democrat party...as long as he doesn't open his mouth.

The key to fix politics in America is by removing the corporate money from the politics.

It will not likely happen in our lifetime, but if we keep that as a goal, if we tell our children and our children's children that it is unethical and anti-American to allow those with the money to tell those without the money how things are going to run...then someday things might change.

Thus...then the TV ads are too negative, when things seem at thier worst, when it looks like nothing good can happen and our boys are getting beat down, above all else we need to remember:

STAY ON TARGET!

And that is how "19 Things the Republicans Want You to Forget" was born.

I voted for Jesse Ventura.

As far as I am concerned, Republicans and Democrats both need to clean house.

That being said, it will be better for America to toss the neo-con thugs out on their asses before it's too late.

It is damn near too late.

What an idiotic post of tasteless Democrat propaganda and half have no basis in fact. For starters, its all opinion. Secondly, Democrats have started wars since WW2. Heck, WW2 was started by a Democrat.

My only real issue as well as most Americans with the Republicans are that they are being too soft on our enemies and not striking them hard enough.

Iraq yellow cake was found in Iraq.
For every individual in the GOP that misbehaves I can find several in the DNC just as bad or worse. Democrats won't be fixing the job overseas issue.

I don't care if you sourced anything. Only a moron would allow a post like this to sway their vote decision or try to suggest that human failings are somehow distinct to people based on their political party affiliation. As corrupt as the GOP is, it still doesn't come close to that of the DNC.

You apparently did care as you claimed it was all opinion. If it were all opinion, I would not have been able to source the statements. YOUR statements were 100% opinion and you did not qualify or prove even one thing you said. You just posted a bunch of baseless rhetoric.

I am not threatening anything other than deleting your B.S. neo-con thug, intimidation tactics propaganda.

You can't silence me.

The truthiness is out there.

We can still be friends after the bums get tossed on November 7th.

"Republicans want you to forget that fuel costs have doubled since 2000, but your income has not."

I encourage you to invest some time in studying even the most basic principles of economic theory. I would start by looking at the basic principles of Supply and Demand which offer an explanation for the increase in fuel costs due to the lack of supply caused by the destruction of oil rigs by natural disasters and the ridiculous environmental taxes placed on businesses that render them inefficient and influence their output. It seems like even though you claim to be "educated" your pulling sources from 3rd party web sites which can be severely biased and backed up with made up facts. Wikipedia is not a credible website. If your interested in economics I recommend Thomas Sowell's book "Basic Economics."

Thanks for your response. Mr. Sowell's book can be ordered through Amazon.com.

I agree that Wikipedia is only as credible as its users. At the time the links to Wikipedia (5 of my 21 links) were created, they did not link to any intentionally false information.

I never claimed to be educated.

I never claimed to be anything. In fact, the only claim I have made regarding politics is that this cycle, I have given money to only one candidate: Robert Fitzgerald.

I merely cited my sources for my bullet points.

BTW, the "Fuel Costs" link does not go to a Wikipedia link, rather, it goes to a website from the Department of
