Rooo, Dee! Rooo, Dee! Rooo, Dee!
When the Republicans come to town in 2008, something that we may hear resounding across the prairie is a rabid chant of, “Rooo-Dee! Rooo-Dee! ROOO-DEE!”
Do not be in the least bit surprised if former NYC mayor Rudy Giulani is the Republican nominee for President. If he runs, he could save the Republican party as they know it. He would shut down the neocon war machine and allow the rest of America to live normal lives instead of searching beneath our beds each night for Osama Bin Laden and calling the FBI on our neighbor’s who are “not from around here”.
Or he could solidify the neocon stranglehold on America and tighten the screws on all the non-believers.
But I don’t think so.
Here’s why: Rudy came out in support of President Clinton after the rest of RepublicanLand started bashing Bill and Hillary over his Fox Interview with Chris Wallace.
So my prediction is: If the beocons (note the emphasis on CON) manage to retain control of both the House AND the Senate…THEN Rudy Giulani will NOT run for President in 2008.
Rudy has too much self-respect to be willing to volunteer to be harassed, badgered and cajoled by a Republican Party that has been high-jacked. The neocon terror cell that has been running this country for the past six years would never give him a moment of rest.
And really, who can blame him for wanting to avoid that cluster-fuck?
NOBODY needs the headache of a well-financed smear campaign drummed up by a bunch of cowardly Republican neocon thugs in expensive suits with fake smiles.
Print this: Rudy will ONLY run in 2008 if the neocons LOSE in 2006!

Good point, but I don’t think the Republicans would ever let a candidate with a questionable moral past — the affair-with-a-nurse fiasco. (Unlike Bush’s hard-to-prove past with drugs. And he is a born-again so his past drinking is fine in the eyes of his base.) Then they’d be no better than the “Godless Liberals.”
Plus, 2008 would be a full seven years after 9/11. That event is what made him a potential candidate, but a lot has changed since then. So, my opinion is that no matter what happens, Giuliani will not be a presidential candidate.
Just my opinion.

I’m kind of afraid of him because if anyone can take advantage of 911 he can. Having said that, if the Dems take the house and the senate (which I think they will–unless Rove’s October surprise is effective) they have to clean up Iraq–which will be very hard to do, if not impossible. So the dems win and Iraq is better but still a mess, the republicans say “look how they couldn’t fix it”. Then they run a neo-con and win. Chaz’s last post about the neo-cons calling for a dem win has me scared, I think that we’re going to get into a shitty situation and the Neo-Cons are going to bounce back bigger and badder than they were.

I think the days of the neo-con are numbered. Chaz’s previous post reveals no secret that actual Republicans are getting sick and tired of the neo-cons. The neo-cons are Republi-CAN’Ts!
They make promises and lie with flying colors, but eventually somebody has to pay for their mistakes.
The American people will wise up and find REAL Republicans eventually…or they will vote BLUE!
