Negative Ghostrider, the Pattern is Full

Yesterday marked the end of an era in combat aircraft. The Navy retired the Grumman F-14 Tomcat from active duty. Kind of sad. Growing up I was quite the aircraft buff and the movie “Top Gun” made me — and just about every boy my age at the time — want to grow up to be a naval aviator.

Reading the headline, I was curious what a Negative Ghost Rider would be like… I suppose it’d be sort of like Bizarro., but riding his bike backwards and fighting crime in hell or something.

That brought a tear to my eye. I also noticed that two of the pilots in the slideshow were nicknamed “Weed” and “Fun”. Nice touch!
