We Digress, The Game One
I’m pretty sure I just make up most of the facts I come up with… I need to work on that, or at least I need real time fact checkers to work on it for me. This episode is more entertaining than I expected, some cool stuff about Video Games if you give a crap about it. We even talk about World of Warcraft and mention “the Halo 3 release date”. Listen to find out the truth.

Yeah, there’s not much to recommend the 360 so far, especially with that price tag! However, I’d really like to see how it runs the new Elder Scrolls. Not that I ever finished Morrowind. I was pretty obsessed with it until I got hooked on WoW. There’s just something appealing about an MMORPG, even if, like me, you don’t often group with other people (besides Bongo!). I read an article a few days ago - Slashdot? - that talked about the “being alone together” factor. Even if I’m not grouping with people, it’s fun to interact casually and otherwise eavesdrop. I DO miss playing on a larger screen than my laptop, though. So I guess I need a great MMORPG for a console or a really nice HDTV.

Wow Nikki, I completly sympathize with your desire to play MMORPG’s alone. It’s the main reason I played EQ2, it was a blast to solo–and it was comforting knowing that there was a ton of others on the server with me. I also couldn’t agree more with your desire for a MMORPG for the console–and when it happens it should include a split screen mode so at least two people could play simultaneously–even if they need multiple accounts (otherwise when the console mmorpg hits I’ll end up watching Sojo play it and never play myself).
