Wcco.com ran an article about this (we scooped them, yay!) and said the reason retailers do not like it, is because customers go to the store before the sale starts, buy the product, then return the product after the sale starts and rebuy it...thus guaranteeing that they get the best of both the product AND the price!

I work at Best Buy and we have some killer deals, but we (the employees, including management) still have not seen our ads... untill today, as you were writing this article an employee of mine pointed out a similar website to dealcatcher and after a bit of research we've become convinced that the product discounts are accurate. And in my opinion, there are a couple of great deals on some items that are acutally worth buying... the catch is that you need to be in line by 4:30 am at most best buys and even 3am at a select few busy stores. So bring blankets and lots of cocoa if you live in the northerly states 'cause the day after thanksgiving is darn cold.
