Instead of forcing HDTV to the televisions of America, the government should launch a politocs TV channel that hosts all debates and all political advertising - which is all equal access, publicly funded, and equal time for all viable candidates. This would require a very well documented system to make sure we don't have to decide between Mickey Mouse and Bart Simpson for President...but really, would the USA be any worse if our President was an actual cartoon?
